Project Description

Valent energy recovery rooftop units with chilled/hot water coils and dPoint total enthalpic polymer heat exchanger were installed to recover latent and sensible energy from the building exhaust to more efficiently dehumidify the air serving the classrooms. The total enthalpic heat exchangers were designed to exceed ASHRAE 90.1 effectiveness requirements, while reducing the maintenance requirements (no additional moving parts to transfer energy between air streams) and achieving 0% exhaust air transfer ratio as determined by AHRI 1060.
